Hotel-Restaurant Elefanten in Lauffen am Neckar

Great Swabian cuisine in Lauffen am Neckar. The hotelier has a limited takeaway card in Corona times, but so far has always been very flexible with special requests. My favorites are the spaetzle, which I usually combine with beef. My table ladies mostly prefer poultry or fish and so far everyone has been very satisfied. The corona organization is exemplary and the appointments are kept very reliably. Highly recommended.

Top restaurant serving upscale Swabian and regional cuisine with a twist. We liked the food very much, we had nothing to complain about and couldn't have eaten better. The service is very friendly, courteous and competent. We felt comfortable and would come back anytime.

The kitchen is excellent, the owners are lovely. The hotel, well, it would need some refurbishing. Helas, we can't go there anymore. The restaurant, showing itself as petfriendly while doing Google researches; doesn't allow bigger dogs, like our Leonberger. (The symbolic dog breed of Leonberg, a city barely 50km away.) Even though they even have a separate dinning area, where our quiet, peaceful dog wouldn't bother anyone. What a pity! But it's ok, owners' decision; however do not qualify yourself as petfriendly!

The food was excellent as well as the service and the staff. Breakfast ist tasty and offers enough variety of fresh food. The style of the rooms is kind of old school or maybe 80s style. The colours would not have been my favorite choice. Nevertheless the room was clean. In walking distance you have several Cafés, Bars or Restaurants where you can have drinks or food.

Nice hotel, clean me big rooms. Super friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast buffet is adequate and there is something for everyone. The food in the restaurant is awesome! Have never eaten before for. Everything fresh, homemade and delicious. The cook understands his craft very well.

The best was the attention. The hotel is not only old but it seems so, that is: 200-year-old curtains full of holes, worn carpet, the bathroom floor has not changed since the building was built, Internet from the Golden Age hahahahaha I don't know if the restaurant is good, I didn't try it because the prices were high and I didn't dare. It is well located and has parking. Eye!! In the room they put a bottle of water "courtesy" that costs € 3. The price is written on an almost illegible pencil paper

Very high quality and nice restaurant with very high quality and very delicious dishes. Staff was very friendly and the food tasted as well. Priced a bit expensive, but the quality is worth it.

So far, we were unfortunately only once in this house as a guest, at least it was worth it. Alone the wine consultation by Mrs. Glässing was extremely good, the openly offered by her Pinot Blanc from the winery Dautel was a revelation. So far I had rarely drunk a Pinot Blanc who had surprised me so much. Also the food from Mr. Glässing freshly prepared are highly recommended in any case. A neat and neat, privately owned house, a very nice surprise, in any case, we will soon plan an overnight stay there.

I do not judge the hotel, but the food. And that is excellent. Always fresh, homemade and cooked to the point. It may be that it is from the old school, but certainly not dusty. Definitely a fine address in Lauffen with very nice hosts. I'm sorry for the one who only awards one star here - no idea what he had for a bad day ...
